Out with the Old, In with the New

In this post I will share some traditions that have changed with the times.
PAST - The brides parents pay for the wedding.
PRESENT - Every couple funds the festivities in different ways.
PAST - Your mom can't throw your shower.
PRESENT - Anyone can throw your shower!
PAST - You must wear a white gown.
PRESENT - Wear whatever you want!
PAST - The first time you and the groom on your wedding day should be at the ceremony.
PRESENT - You can spend every minute with your groom before the ceremony.
PAST - You have to have a rehearsal dinner.
PRESENT - You can skip a rehearsal dinner.
PAST - Ceremony seating is based on a bride's side and groom's side.
PRESENT - Guests can choose to sit wherever they want!
PAST - You have to leave for the honeymoon right after the reception.
PRESENT - You can go ona honeymoon whenever you feel like it.
So inform the 'rents that times have changed and what was set-in-stone in their day is not so true for todays laid back world.
